New sub forms in the MadCap lounge

There are two new forums that are part of the MadCap User forums. Added this week were the following forums:

These are two great ideas for forums from MadCap, so kudos to the Support staff for adding them. Here is what I like about each of them:

Simon’s Career Network

This forum, according to the description, is “for job posting and resume posting for any type of technical writing position using Madcap Software Products.” So if you are a company looking to hire an experienced Flare developer, you can post the job opening in the forums. Also, if you are an experienced user of MadCap products, and you want to post your resume for potential employers to view, you can do so in this forum.

As MadCap tools increase in marketshare, there will naturally follow a need for a way to find people who are experienced in using the MadCap suite of tools. Here is a way for employeers and potential employees to connect. I think it can be a useful tool for the community.

Source Control

This forum is, in my opinion, overdue. Ever since Flare introduced source control integration with Flare v3, there have been tons of questions on how to get Flare integrated with third party source control systems. I know I’ve fielded several questions on my blog and in the forums, so I think that grouping these together will really help people who come along later and want to figure out how to integrate source control with their MadCap projects.
